Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. She was raised listening to classic and old boleros, and traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas as well as any dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started more intense singing lessons with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of the traditional Latin American music at private events. As a local performer and instructor and instructor, her passion for art and music has her engaged in a wide range of projects. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
